Founder and editor of Beyond Borders. Born and raised in South Africa, Shoeshoe designs private journeys across Africa and beyond, and writes the Editorial Journal from first-hand travel.
Shoeshoe's understanding of travel did not begin with a destination. It began with people: the guides, hosts, makers and conservationists who give a place its meaning. That belief shapes everything Beyond Borders designs.
Each journey is curated personally, rooted in local knowledge and long-standing relationships across the continent. The Editorial Journal is where she records what she learns on the road, so that the studio's recommendations always begin with observation rather than a brochure.
