Africa stewarded
by Africans.
Private safaris shaped
by those who know the land.
We steward these places. Every journey is shaped by the people who know the land intimately, and reveal it with care.
No fixed itineraries. A private proposal, within two days of your call.

Our Philosophy
We don't take you to Africa.
We take you into it.
Beyond Borders Travel was built on a single conviction: that the most meaningful journeys are led by people who belong to the land. Our founder and network of trusted local partners have spent decades learning, protecting, and sharing Africa's wild places.
Every safari we craft is shaped by deep local knowledge, honest conversation, and a genuine commitment to leaving the land better than we found it.
"We are not a booking platform.
We are custodians."
Every journey directly supports conservation partners and the ecosystems that make them possible. Responsible travel is not a feature of what we do. It is the foundation.

Shoeshoe works directly with vetted guides and conservation partners to ensure each trip protects place, uplifts people, and delivers rare, private encounters: from the Okavango to the Serengeti, the Namib to the Rwandan highlands.
"The land will always reveal itself to those who approach it with patience. Our work is simply to make that introduction."

Okavango, Chobe & Victoria Falls
Three nights drifting through the Okavango Delta by mokoro with a private guide
Game drives through Chobe - one of Africa's highest concentrations of elephant
Five nights on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, ending with a walking safari at dawn
A southern Africa circuit designed around a family with teenage children - one who wanted wildlife, one who wanted adventure, and parents who wanted both. Three camps, a private vehicle throughout, and a pace that let the landscape set the agenda rather than a schedule.

Serengeti & Ngorongoro
Four nights in the Serengeti during the calving season - one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife events
Four nights on a private conservancy on the Ngorongoro rim, away from the crater crowds
Shared game drives with one other couple and a sundowner at a private waterhole
A first safari for a couple who wanted to see the Serengeti properly, not quickly. Eight days was exactly enough - long enough to feel the rhythm of the bush, short enough to leave wanting more.
